A photo montage. With commentary.

Here's what's been happening in my little house.

A new light fixture. Mid 1950's amber.

Some superwash merino singles, spun from a braid I bought in 2010.

Some finished singles, navajo plied into a very soft twist, squishy yarn.

Sheepskin slippers. Bought in Cape Town. Sorry vegan people, I love these.

I have been removing tackboard to get the floor back.

It is not without sacrifice.

But there is much progress. (And how vulgar is my cat? I mean really...)

The animals are cold and just want to lie on the bed. And eat snacks.
They could be right about that.

I've been at work since 6am and I'm exhausted. I am going to snuggle under the duvet and drink tea and watch podcasts and work on something fibre related.
All in all I'm a lucky person. There are people who come home and do laundry. Imagine...

PS. For the record, there is a ton of unwashed and washed laundry and all of it is being ignored.
PPS. I also can't stop reading paranormal young adult novels. That and a book on statistics. Both are apparently riveting.

I am all about lounging on the bed and eating snacks!

Love the new light fixture! My yoga studio has something of a similar vintage and I find myself staring at it endlessly when we're on the floor.

Sounds like fun to me. Once when I was little I stepped on one of those things and it hurt terribly.

I love coming home after a long, long day and just knitting. It is so satisfying, at least to me.
